Meal Prep Direct policy

Food Safety

Plain-language food safety responsibilities for in-home meal-prep sessions.

Who prepares the food

A booked cook or chef prepares food in the customer's home unless the booking clearly says otherwise.

The chef is responsible for following safe food handling practices during the session. The customer is responsible for providing a functional and reasonably clean kitchen.

Holding, storage, and handoff

Customers should provide fridge and freezer space before the session. Chefs should label prepared items with storage and reheating guidance when applicable.

Once the chef leaves, the customer is responsible for storing, reheating, and consuming meals safely.

Reporting a concern

Report food safety concerns through support as soon as possible. Include booking id, symptoms or issue, photos if available, and whether anyone needs urgent medical attention.
